I've done that with a dark checkbook..."Sorry, I can't talk now...some idiot here is screaming into his phone"...and the idiot sheepishly hangs up.
Did that last visit to the eye doctor. Some moron young female was giving her life story in the waiting room. Lady next to her was looking perplexed. Guy on the other side looking for the door.
I made eye contact with the lady, held a finger up (not that one) to say, "watch".
Took my emergency cell out opened it, held it up and said, loudly, "I can't talk here in the doctor's waiting room. No, I know others are...and giving us the pass code for the alarm system at their house....and the details of their last date. I'll call you when I'm done", and flipped it shut, put it away, and waited.
Dead silence.
Young moron got up, walked outside, and finished her call.
Standing ovation.....
