The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

I don't think of my friends and family like that; or even my jobs....

And I kind of wonder whose driving for all those successful Jews, Chinese, Japanese, Indians, etc. ...

Hehehehe!!! Success is not the goal, it is a result!

"Do one thing +
Do it with pride +
Do it well +
Do it honestly +
Do it for a fair price +
Do it when promised =

you will be a success
and you will never lack for food
or a roof over your head." **

Quoted to me by my grandmother right
before I headed off to University.

Grandma Banks was correct.

I wondered what your avatar was saying Tinster. Now I know.
Ya just gotta add an "Arrrr" on the end

lol. Excellent advise.... no matter how old it is. I'll add:

Do it right the first time.

and...

Do it again - even if it didn't work out the first time.

Since this is "thought for the day", I know I posted it before, but it bears repeating...It just fits too well!!!

Nice quote Willie, and one which I ascribe to also for whatever that's worth.
