to no one, but having seen this offering on ebay, https://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/...akeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en
I feel compelled to relate, in order to increase my posting total, the following life experience.
My first wife :eeek: owned one of these, an Austin A40 Atlantic, in high school. It was her first car given to her by her father,
the import car dealer in town. She loved this car, even though road rescues were required to be performed by dealership service personnel on a regular basis.
After a while, daddy tired of the cost to retrieve and repair, and sold the car. Daughter was VERY unhappy and remained so for years to come.
High school and college come and go, we meet and get married. I am instructed to be ever vigilant in case this car might still exist, be discovered, and be available for purchase.
Three or four years later, the wife informs me one morning that she has had a dream, and in this dream, one of her indian guides
has come to her and told her where this A40 is located. Uh huh, right you say. Well, nothing will do but that we check this out and, lo and behold, the car is EXACTLY where she was told it would be. Shazzam!!!
In appearance, it was much like the A40 in the above link except that it did have the engine/transmission intact. She bought it and we dragged it home where it sat until she got it in the divorce.
She may still have it for all I know.
