This is very pretty!

Tony,

That bar came from an MGB but I'm guessing they are virtually the same. The only difference was the MGB Bar is approximately 2" wider. Used a pipe cutter to make a perfect straight cut to narrow the bar. The flat stock section did not fit into the Spridget tonneau bracket, hence I cut a very small 1/8" deep x 1/8" or so wide notch at the front of the bar so I could slide in at an angle and lean back the entire assembly. With that little cut in there the entire bracket hit in with a positive lock. Again I added a safety catch / cotter pin that I could just pull out to remove/ It also prevented the wind blocker from going airborne at 70 mph as it departed the car.

This is an interesting engineering challenge. And not really difficult to do. Without a Spridget or MGB Tonneau bar, one can do the same thing with aluminum and steel bar stock.

I like that job, very professional.

I'd like one for the bugeye that is collapsible. So that it folds/slides to be half or less of the original width for storage purposes.

Yeah, pack that one up for Air Freight
