That is funny think there was one at Oshkosh in the vintage field canvas - covered wings and wooden prop
can fly at 25 mph
on a windy day you could move slower than ground troops
Air cover with straight line loitering Ha!

Seeing the photo of him in the cockpit, I would think Kim Jong-un would exceed the plane's payload capacity.

Certainly explains why Snoopy has been recalled to active duty. Come to that maybe they think this is a training film?

I think since it says he's a "keen aviator" I'd suggest he take it for a test drive and hope for, an unfortunate accident.

We should take up a collection to assemble a squadron of Gloster Gladiators in case we have to knock these down... hey, someone has to be the last biplane ace, ever!

I think their going to use them like crop dusters to spread propaganda letters. Their also re-naming the plane to a "Kim-Can". :encouragement: PJ

An aeronautical question. So now if you found a strong enough wind headed the direction you want to go, could one fly into the wind slow enough to fly backwards to the destination. What is left of a mind wants to know.

Maybe. Depends on how much fuel you have vs distance, making very slow progress in relation to the target. Makes shooting you down really easy too. One guy could put 40 musket rounds into the plane without having to walk much.

While those Gloster Gladiators are aiming at the biplanes, don't forget about the *other* aircraft in his air forces:

Chengdu J-7, Ilyushin Il-28, MiG 21, MiG 23, MiG 29, Sukhoi 25, plus various rotorcraft and trainers, including the McDonnell-Douglas MD500.

Maybe looking "obsolete" is what they want us to believe ...
