This guy is going to be disappointed...

Hopefully he is the one disappointed and not some ignorant buyer.

And how did you determine that! Where does it say VicBrit? PJ

Part number 0-219 on the label is VBs part number for the windscreen. That number isn't used by anyone else.

I don't think 30+ years ago they had shipping boxes with expanding foam supports for glass either.

Where on the label is the VB number? I don't dispute that this is a new (vs NOS) part but I didn't see the VB number.

Now, that is just shady! He cropped the picture so that the VB sticker no longer shows.

:(

I don't see the VB no either. But, forgetting the "30 year old new old stock" garbage, if the glass is a Triplex, it's a steal! I think I paid a little under 300 bucks for the one in the B 4 or 5 years ago. The Triplex I installed was slightly thicker than the 1 year old, cracked, VB glass I replaced and was cut for a perfect fit.

I bought a triplex windshield about 7 years ago, and it was packaged the same way. I think I bought it from a vendor on the MGB experience or maybe here. Might have been from Tony Barnhill. Regardless, I remember paying less than $200 for it.

A steal? I think you missed the eBay seller's price... $795 +$178 shipping.

This may be just a rhetorical question but... here goes.

Let's say someone does buy that windshield for just under $1000 (delivered). The buyer opens the box, reads the date codes on the glass and quickly determines that this is not a 30+ year old NOS item but maybe something 10 years old or newer. Do they have any recourse through eBay or is it strictly "buyer beware"?

Biased towards the buyer. He can file a complant and do a charge back w/o having the seller sign off on it. In the end, buyer can keep both the cash and the windshield with no recourse from the seller. He who laughs last has both the cash and the glass.

Hey, anybody want a free windshield?

Agreed, new not original, but good replacement.

I believe you are correct, Kellys guy, e-bay now want's access to your bank account so that they can take money out whether you agree or not. This case is cut and dried but there would be many that are kinda grey and I'm not a fan of e-bay the way it has become. I had dispute's before the current policy's and had a good ole american help me resolve them. The last dispute I had went thru some chic in who know's where that I couldn't understand. She was little help but then for e-bay I'm sure she saved them a few pennies!

Kurt.

But wait.....there's more. Price has dropped by $200 and the photo with the VB part number and bar code has been deleted.
