I don't know that it's so much living in different times, I recall doing and watching stupid stuff being done 40 years ago when I was a teen. Now though we've just provided a means to immortalize and share such actions with the world. Don't know though that I'd want to be remembered decades from now as that guy who nearly killed himself doing such things.

I too agree. My biggest question though is where do they build merry go rounds like that? I have never seen a merry go round with a benches, tables, and rails like those before.
 
And now that you point it out... I'd agree. What's truly different is how all this is now immortalized (at places like YouTube). Remember that old joke about the "famous last words of an 18 year old male is 'hey, guys, watch this'".
