I've a friend in New Mexico who has a YouTube channel and uses affiliate links to generate income. Lately his income has taken a nose dive despite his visitor number being strong. Now he knows why. So, if you want to support certain content creators, be aware of these scam "extensions" that purport to save you money all while stealing from the content creators.

Another that keeps popping up. Buy something on ebay. Get confirmation from ebay *and* from the seller.

Seller's email (via ebay) says "click here for tracking and a 25% discount on future purchases".

But the click leads to "Thank you for accepting our Terms and Conditions", which include sharing of your ebay history and contact info with "others" - *not* through ebay.
