I have now checked the valves for good seal and I am convinced there is nothing wrong there. I have checked everything spark related and I am certain the problem is not there. Number 4 has plenty of compression and comes alive when I give it gas but misses at idle. It did the same thing with the stromberg that it is doing with the DGV, though everything else is much improved.
It could still be some sort of intake manifold leak. I have a whole new head gasket set and will take the intake and exhaust loose next weekend and put a brand new gasket there and check for any burs on the intake. I will also look over the intake internally and see if I see something weird in there.

I say vacuum leak. That is the hardest nut to get to, theone under by 4. Try tightening it first.
