I recently purchased a License Plate Frame brake Light from Canadian Tire. I installed it with some doubts, I am impressed with the brake light. It also come with a scrolling message and a REMOTE CONTROL! You can put up to five messages in it, you have to be stopped to change it.The LED Brake Light is illuminated for 2 seconds, then the scrolling message appears.I have had people say it is easily seen and very bright!

Sorry, I have pics too! That was painfull resizing to download!

Thanks for shareing; But its to low down to be effective & while your reading the message they may CRASH into the car,but then it would be THERE fault if that happens.
Great idea tho.

I agree the unit you have may help, but it is at the bottom level of the tail lights which are low already. There are some previous posts on this issue in the archives and others had pictures of thier solutions.

This light will get you a ticket in California....

I'm looking at this as a possible third brake light.

I got this from pick a part, off of an '94 or '95 and newer Chevy Astro Van. You can also buy after market on e-bay but not sure of the quality.

Another location option could be to mount the light upside down on the lip right above the license plate (early models only).
Connection is one wire to ground and the other to the brake light. Very easy hookup The hard part is drilling the holes into that beautiful finish!

Don't drill. Just go to the autobody parts shop and get some trim adhesive tape. That's how most of the new car stuff is mounted and it's strong and permanent enough, and can be removed later if you want. Tell them at the counter what you're using it for and get their recommendation.

Another thought, if it works for you, is to use 2-3 rare earth magnets. Small round ones that you could inset and glue into the bottom of the light, and just attach it to the top of the boot magnetically. These magnets are pretty strong. I doubt it would move around.
