Thinking about a cam for 58 sprite

This would be for street use.
I rebuilt engine 30 years ago. Did not replace cam or cam bearings. I still have 40 psi when warmed up about 60 when cold.
What would be a good cam for street use?
Now that the engine is out, I would like to replace the cam bearings, oil pan gasket and crank seal.
Can cam be removed from front?
can cam bearings be replaced with out removing crank shaft?
Thanks

Cam is removed from the front. After you remove the timeing chain.

You do not need to remove crank to replace cam bearings or cam.

Cams are like politions, lots of suggestions. LOL Someone will be along and advise that has something in use they like.

I just talked to a person at Minimainia He suggested I stay with the original type cam.
He also said to move up to the rib tranny but one that did not come from a 1500 sprite.
So now I am looking for a good used one.

Bah, see what I ment about suggestions.

What you want prob is known as a fast road cam. The usual sources have em.

Yes if you are haveing tranny problems you need to replace with a rib case one. Take money unless you just get luckey.
