Had to get a bad universal replaced on the Spit last week but because of my work schedule I asked dad if he would mind taking in to the shop when he went to work on Friday. So he took it to town and the shop fixed the old girl up and even patched the leaking rear tire. Dad called me that evening to tell me that he can't remember the last time that car ran so well and thanked me for all the hard work that I have put into it. :driving:

Dad bought the car in 1991 and had it mechanically overhauled and drove it daily until he tried to work on it himself in 1994. I pulled it out of storage in 2008 with the deal that if i could make it run it was my car. Haven't really seen my car since Friday... but I have seen his G6 sitting in the storage spot next to the garage where I usually hide the Triumph... Not sure I'm getting my car back... :wall:

The ratio of good deeds done by children for their parents(no strings attached), vrs parents doing for the kids, is about 1-10 in your favor. So next time he starts in with the "remember when I took you to the..." You have a trump card to play. He still gets to drive the car though.

Sabotage it!! I'm sure you can find a bad rotor laying around somewhere!

If you plan on going on some runs with us, it's a lot more fun in a Triumph than an Impala.

This is true Doug. The only way the top goes down on the Impala is with a can opener.
