Things you won't find in a Triumph [continued]

Couple months ago someone ran a thread on things you won't find in a Triumph. My contribution was "cup holders."

It got me to thinking, how would you put cup holders in a TR3?

Since I am rebuilding my TR3, I gave it considerable thought. Especially because I like my coffee.

Please note the attached pics. The driver's cup holder is located on the rear (dummy) seat, behind the passenger, and the passenger's is hidden behind the driver. I will just reach behind my wife between shifts and sip away.

And as you can see, things are moving along on getting the car ready for Triumphfest this Fall in Slovang.

gsalt, Have 2 quick questions for you: Does your car have its original grill? And if so do the horizontal members bow slightly outward when viewed from the side? The finish looks great. Wish mine were that far along.

When I got the car, it had a wide mouth (and a bent frame), indicating an eventful previous life. I found a reasonably priced used small mouth apron and grill. To tell the truth, I never noticed the bow of the grill but will take note when I work on it again on Tuesday (sorry but it isn't at home).
