My wife is planning our summer vacation. She wants to go to PA and spend some time on an Amish farm and then onto other places. So I says to 'er "Anything to do MG while on vacation?" Ohh the look.
Any thing to do or see MG in PA?

There are 2 primary settlements of Amish "Dutch" in Pa.....

The Lancaster group & the New Wilmington group.

My neighbors were Amish......Wadda-ya want-a know?

If your coming to western Pa.......Let me know.

Let me talk to the mrs and find our what she has in mind with the Amish.
Gotta find out how far west we are headed too.

Thanks

Suggest that the July 8/9 weekend would be a good time to visit the Amish.......

VINTAGE GRAND PRIX weekend down here at BeaveRun.

(Just 10 miles south of Amish central)

Stop by and say Hi. I'm just off Rt 78 (dunno the exit, but at Rt 100, near Allentown).

There was a nice auto museum near Strasburg (Gast Museum?). In addition to the Deusenburgs and Cords they had a pair of MGs (bought from Henry Ford's collection) that were claimed to be the first and last ever imported to the states. I think they might have closed. :-(

Check out the Lancaster County MG show in Rothsville...not sure of the date this year, but it is usually in the late summer or early fall. it is a nice show with a Polo match on the side. There are lots of Amish tourist traps in the area too!

Thats good to know. I hate being a tourist and made to feel like one in a trap.
I think our trip will be in late August.
