I am so sorry for your trials. We've been there several times. It's been almost two years since the passing of our Golden. Still can't let another pooch into my life. Just loving on the two felines. The only positive for letting these creatures into our hearts is that they remind us we can feel unconditional love.
 
He's doing much better. We went on a 100 yard patrol yesterday. I thought he'd never walk right again. Seems my wife (whom I love dearly) took him off his glucosamine tablets when we started giving him it to him in treat form without my knowledge. She thought we did that instead of, not in addition to so... I've been juicin' him back up as much as I can.
