When we moved into our brand-new house six years ago we were shocked to find that in every bathroom, they had installed a towel ring directly above the electrical outlet.
Wet hands reaching next to a live outlet, what could possibly go wrong?
Fortunately every circuit in the house is equipped with a GFCI/AFCI circuit breaker... which apparently have a lifespan of about 4-5 years before they decide to trip randomly and eventually refuse to stay on at all.
