TR2/3/3A Thermostat housing

I have a thermostat housing off my restoration that has been soaking in parts cleaner for six months. I do not know what the dreaded previous owner did, but I cannot get the two halves apart. Tried heat, soaking in solvent, gentle prying. No success. Any suggestions?

Bolt it back on the block and put small hammer handle in snout and give it a good whack. If it breaks I have spares.

Can you double nut the studs and turn them out. The studs on those things are so tight to the mold/body.
