Getting the rearend down to bare metal. Wow, it's big, dirty and lots of gurnge. Two days on this now and about half done. Yes blasting would have been better but......

took me awhile too, but keep the faith...soon it can look like this.

totally agree, actually the furter I get the worse it gets. and I haven't even gotten as far as jlaird has.
 
Well remove gunk, wire brush, grind, polish, clean again, prime, and two coats of black.
