Well, on the occasion of our 34th wedding anniversary, I finally had to relent from listening to my wife cry about no longer having a 2-seater roadster to call her own. (She used to have a Miata and loved it). The other day I was at the local Air Force base "Lemon Lot" and found an absolutely lovely little used BMW Z4 in Charcoal Grey Metallic. The price was very reasonable considering it only has 16,500 miles on the cloak and is in excellent overall condition. When my wife saw it, I didn't have to persuade her much - she had to have it. So now she can stop crying every time she sees a little open roadster driving down the road!

WOT! You say you found your wife a car in excellent condition at a "Lemon Lot"!! I smell a Rat-Keoke- :jester:

But congratulations any how.

The Lemon Lot, as they call it, on a Military base is where people put their cars for fast sale when they get transferred and can't take it with them, or chose not to take it with them.

Way to go on the new purchase by the way! My father-in-law has one of those and man... that little puppy can fly!

Congratulations on a great purchase. Mike decided not to use the Lackland Lemon Lot to unload his car but sold it back to the original dealer last month, then bought a 2000 Honda off the lemon lot at Kadina. He did not get anything as good as Mrs. Basil's new toy!
And I love the sprinkler effect in the photo too.

I can't take credit - That picture is not one I took. It's just linked to a picture I found on the web of a car that is exactly like hers.

You're gonna love that car, and your wife, too (<span style="font-style: italic">if</span> she can wrench it away from you)!

BMWs are wonderful. I have vivid memories of the one (1984 318i) I bought new, I can recall my first drive in it. German engineering, nothing like it.

Keep the shiny side up, and enjoy!!

Well, since my wife is also "German engineered" I would tend to agree with that! I once owned a Porsche 944 and found it to be an extremely solid, well-engineered and well thought out machine.

 Okay your neighbor is green with envy. Perhaps you'd like to chat with my husband? I've a birthday coming up this month!!! I can use it for errands like taking his mother shopping, to her medical appointments, etc.????

Nice gift!

Because we were so young at the time, they said it wouldn't last! LOL

Way to go Basil! Happy anniversary!!!

Happy Anniversary Basil!!

My wife loves our Z3 and has a blast driving it! Hopefully she'll let you take it for a spin once in a while.

Nicely done, Boss! I've always admired the Z3 and Z4 BMWs. Enjoy.

Sweet ride you have there. If I ever sell the TR6, that is probably what I would get.

WOW! My brother had one of those. He went out of town once and called to ask me if I would move it from in front of his house for him. Move it I did....all over town! What a fun little ride. Congratulations on an awesome score!

Great score. Best looking color scheme too. Congrats!
Awesome cars.
