The Volvo Board=hanging out at a college frat

As a few on here know my son decded he wanted a Volvo 240. We bought one and I did the what any novice owner does, I found a forum to ask questions. I found lots of help but what a different crowd. Not to say we are old on here but over 30 over there is considered ancient. They are broke college students for the most part so they are into cheap fixes (trading parts for stereos and stuff) but they have some real runners too.

I guess the telling sign was one of the older gentleman (28) accused them of being of a certian political leaning (no politics here) and they took a quick poll and 85% were of the same party. So the gentleman then stated they were all probably weed smokers and they quickly thru together a poll and 92% has smoked that very week.

No wonder I feel so much more comfy over here. They are young and it is fun to read them fighting their political beleifs but they with their 3 to 5 years of college really do think they know how the world runs but I fear it is only the world they know from the net. I had one even challenge me on Iraq cause he and his professor knew what they thought to be true. I sent pictures I had taken while i was there and he sent them to his professor who then asked for permission to use my email in his class to prove the book they were using on the middle east wrong. It is fun to hang out with the younger generation but tiring.

I will stay where I feel comfy and welcome, right here in the BCF

Watch it, I'm probably one of the youngest people on here! (under 30, but not for long) :p

I do agree though, I find hanging with several of my generation to be quite tiring. I've been accused of being old fashioned, selling out, and heartless. I work hard, own my own house, own three cars (paid off), and no credit card debt. I don't call it being some of the terms I have been named, I was just raised slightly different than most in my generation.

Maybe that's why every woman that I've ever had a serious relationship has been older than me.

Your under 30 and call females woman not girls. Your an old soul. Woman make better company than... girls.
