The Velocity Channel

One of my favorite channels on Dish Network was HDTheater, which changed to The Velocity Channel in mid December. The Velocity Channel had "Chasing Classic Cars", the "Mecum Auctions" and more great car shows. The Velocity Channel disappeared in late December. I called Dish Networks and asked what happened to The Velocity Channel and they said it was only available with the Blockbuster Movie Package. I said I wasn't happy about that and they offered me the Blockbuster Movie Package for free for the next 12 months. If you miss the Velocity Channel, give Dish Networks a call, maybe they will do the same for you. They are also interested in your feedback.

Were getting satellite tv due to the fact there's no cable out here in the sticks where we live. As far as reception goes, what is the difference between Direct TV and Dish Network? Is most of their other differences promotional, such as coupon discounts etc? Cost is no concern, reception is. PJ

My local cable network has the Velocity channel as part of their basic package. Some pretty good stuff on there. :driving:

Mine offers it as part of an add-on bundle for an extra $9/month. I like the channel, but not 100 bucks a year worth of like.

Funny how $9.00 a month sounds so much cheaper than $108.00 a year...

You Guys have Cable and Dish?

Jeeze, I must be living in the stoneage.

We have signal fires and blankets.

Common Dave- I KNOW that Lancaster has cable, is Palmdale THAT far behind Lancaster??

Further

Lancaster has 3 MacDonalds Resturants

Palmdale has 2

And we go down to the flashing light at
Sierra Hwy, just to watch the action every
Friday nite.

I used to cruse Sierra on Friday nights with my '62 Sprite-
a long,long time ago
And we would drive from Eddie's to the old McD and back just for a burger- back when gas was 26 cents a gallon (on base).
