ok, so imagine you live in portugal and your moving house. you find a lovely farm house set in a decent plot of land. the place has been empty for 15 years!

whilst exploring your new property you find a large barn in the trees. the door is padlocked shut and its all rusted solid. so you grind the padlock open.........

scroll thru the many pics in the link below. UNBELEVEABLE

STAGGERING. It's like Jay Leno of Europe passed away and everyone forgot about his cars.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! So what's the guy's next move? A thorough search for the car titles? A call to his friendly Portugese classic auto insurer? A visit to a lawyer, for a lesson on abandoned property? As for me, I'm checking to see if I had any Portugese relatives who might have "checked out", 15 years ago!

Interesting collection of cars.
The barn looks more like an aircraft hanger. Plenty of sunshine. The story sounds like an urban legend.
I could be wrong.

What! No side screen TR'S. Bah Humbug!

Reminds me of 1970 when in my hometown in central Louisiana, we had a physician practicing there that was way too cool for our little redneck town. He eventually moved away in that year to a bigger city out of state. I was aware that he collected cars and knew where they were kept, in two rented warehouses. When the 4 18-wheelers pulled up to take his collection with him I knew this would be my only chance to see them. None restored, just collected, all very clean. 2 Dusenberg's, a Gullwing Mercedes, an Indy car that won 1st place some year, some old Indians, a few collectible Ferraris and that old burgundy Maserati racer that one always sees pictures of. Oh, and he had a Gloria! All told, I think there were about 25 vehicles. He came from money. And took it with him.

One never forgets things like that.

Someone has been stealing a lot of cars!!!!!

I seen this on about 4 different car forums... The story is always changing. I think they are all stolen cars... Some of them are suffering really, really bad cancerous rust. The "barn" was hardly waterproof...
