I race at Summit Point pretty often and it's a regular problem there, especially at the end of the straightaway (when cars are really moving). One time a cow wandered onto the track during a race I was in.

Here's an example of a Summit Point deer-strike.

Nial, this video and a discussion came up on the Lotus forum as well and I'm wondering why you guys don't boycott that track! Haven't they heard of hurricane fence!
I'm sure everyone sign's a liability waver but I would say that there is some gross negligence by the owner's. On the Lotus forum it was mentioned that a go cart racer was killed by hitting a deer there!
