The Ticked Off "B"

My wife and I took our B "MOLLY" to the Camp Wilcat Civil War Reenactment this weekend. The trip is a little over a 100 miles from our house and the B ran beautifully. Before the trip my wife had washed and waxed "Molly" and the little B really looked sharp. At the event I , as the groups Chaplain, I was asked to do a dedication at a gravesite on the Battlefield which located about 2.5 mile away up a steep gravel road. I took the B and she ran fine but she came back with a heavy coating of dust. My wife proceeded to lambast me about getting the car so dirty and said the car was now mad at me. Sure enough, later that evening, we had checked into a motel and started out to get something to eat and the car refused to start. We had to push start her. I began to go over the charging system in my mind. New battery, new belt, alternator tested good so what could be wrong. So the next morning, fearing the worst, I got in the car and prepared to start her. The car started normally just as it always had. It continued to start normally the rest of the day and is still starting normally today. My wife swears the car was just mad at me. I am now just about convinced she was right!!!

Regards John

Re: The Ticked Off "B"

More likely the car was upset that you took it off those great back roads. Every trip we take our TC on, we end up driving some form of unpaved roads from well-groomed to logging roads. The Bs get their share of off-pavement fun as well. Don't be afraid to drive these cars wherever you want to go. They can take it!
