A fella running a marathon was in the lead and could see the finish line in the distance. He looked back and saw another runner quickly closing the gap so he mustered a bit more energy for the sprint to the finish line. Suddenly he felt a flop-flop and looked down and saw the sole had separated from his shoe: his race was over. He limped to the side of the road and sat down on the curb and wailed: "You picked a fine time to leave me loose-heel".
