TR2/3/3A the resonator

Did tr3s like Don Elliot’s 1958 come to America without the resonator? Was the resonator added or was it an option later in the production?
 
I agree with Andy, but I believe that change point is wrong. The "resonator" (which is really just a shorter version of the main muffler) originally became standard at TS11384. There was a change at TS15706, but according to Bill Piggott, it was just a modification of the second silencer to further reduce noise. Seems like I remember reading that it just got longer at the later change point (something like 15" instead of 12"), but I can't find a reference for that offhand so I could be mistaken.

Thanks, Randall! I was going by what is currently on the VTR site. At one time, they had a pretty good list of all running changes TR2-3B, but that apparently got lost or broken up during the last site redesign. I didn't think TS15706 sounded quite right, but.... :crazy:
