Okay, the transatlantic side of memory lane here:

Playing football (soccer) in my best shoes on the school playground, sometimes using a block of wood as the ball. Mom always used to wonder how I wore out my shoes so fast.....

Going down a local hill, on the road, in a soap-box cart that my dad made. He had painted "Fireball XL-5 and a bit" on the side.

Picking up junk coming home from school. (Old radiator grilles, etc)

Action Man (The British GI Joe)

Airfix soldiers (HO/OO gauge) and the massed battles we used to have with them.

Scalextric.

Subbuteo.

Old Mrs Weaver's yard and the crab apples trees. She never used to let us have our ball back, so we used to jump the wall and get it without asking.

England winning the World Cup.

Subbuteo....I never got the hang of that....

the Stylophone

Super balls

Playing football (soccer) with jumpers for goalposts
