It's funny how books affect our lives....I first read this book when in junior high school....It was my first introduction to MG's, and started a life-long love affair.

I recently bought a hard-back, first edition, fifth printing, for around $50. No book sleeve, but in really good condition.

Now, if I could only find a TC that I can afford. Never could quite swing one of those. Someday....

Regards,

John

Itis what got me started, some fourty five years ago. Never recovered. If any one finds rwasonable copy, please post. Always wanted that book.

Phil,
I just got a new hard cover copy of "The Red Car" from amazon.com for $29.00. Another great LBC read is "Press On Regardless". I also happen to like the Bert Levy trilogy. The first in the series, "The Last Open Road" is best (imho) but the last two are fun.
