The prisoner

I own a series II # SB 1788. I think there are photos of it here. The black and red one.

I don't think they're beautiful in form, but it has beauty in other ways.

I still hanker after a Seven, but in the UK the climate is not really helpful to Seven ownership. Which is why I'm counting on Global Warming to save me.

My plea to US citizens: please burn as many fossil fuels as you can, and as soon as you like. Then, when the UK has a Mediterranean climate I will finally be able to drive one over here on a daily basis.

Years ago, I remember your Jamie Kitman writing in a UK journal that someone in the US has a Caterham franchise, but perhaps that's folded.

Anyway, on to more weighty matters: what is the reclusive Patrick McGoohan doing these days? His last high-profile role was in "Braveheart", and he was the judge in the film of John Grisham's "A Time to Kill", but that was years ago.

He's as much of an enigma as Number Six was.

Pointless McGoohan fact: he was approached to play James Bond, but declined. As a devout Catholic, he was not comfortable with 007's bedhopping antics.

PS What is the best time to kill?

In th' words of another well regarded Englishman:

"It's a fine line..."

Word in yer ear: this jury's still out.
