I need a pottery wheel for my studio. I've been looking but they never come up and always sell for more than I want to pay. CL is impossible to find one as nothing is ever in the area. Ebay has some somtimes but they're always 500 miles away, shipping is a killer but I looked anyway. I found one on ebay 1 1/2 hrs away, local pick up only, . A bit beat up but it works. (the perfect thing to be used in a freight trailer)

It's been relisted, last buyer didn't realize no shipping; it brought $222 that time. No bids in, everone else from before looks to scared and out of the bidding which opened at $50. One hour left and bidding was $73. I sniped it at the last second for $104.50

Still gotta pick it up...but Kelly is on her way back from Alabama and the place is on the way home. The wheel is now in the back of her car on it's way to me, no special trip required.

I couldn't have planned it any better.

Only way thing could improve is if Kelly finds $105 in the parking lot of whenever she stops for gas.

You wouldn't believe the deal we got on 4 practically new, EXTREMELY LIMITED use Shimpo VL Lites for her studio.

I'll put it to you this way, we payed less for the four of those than we did for her Axner 10 years ago. We also just picked up another brand freakin' new Clay Boss from one of her students for $300. She said she used it a few times but I'd swear it came right outta the box. This puts us at 8 wheels. Well, 7 1/2, the Crapball Artista really isn't a wheel. She uses it for her demos. I like it because it's 25 pounds and she can carry it.

Kellys isn't a fan of the Clay Boss but we couldn't pass them up and are fine for what we're gonna use them for.
