Well it depends. Right handed people pull from the top.
Lefties pull from the bottom.
With that said you have to make sure you buy the correct roll; either L or R.

and children under the age of 5 - don't ask me how I know. (we have to buy ambidextrous rolls as we have left and right handers under the roof)
