The nut on the steering wheel

I seem to have misplaced the nut that holds on the steerin wheel on my 71 midget. I know it is in my basement somewhere but I cannot find it now. Does anyone know the size and thread of this nut. I think the nut was made out of aluminum because it was pretty large and I never did find the correct size wrench to fit it. I thought it might be one of those whitworth deals. Still I just want to go to the nut and bolt store and buy a nut to fit the wheel for now. Any help would be appreciated. It was hard to hold that wheel on and the gas was touchy making it too much fun /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
