The new HEPIE compact tripod arrived today

I wasn't expecting it so soon, but it arrived today. So far seems pretty nice, but there are a few glitches I've run into. Full report once I've had more of a chance to mess around and get past the learning curve. I will say for its size and light weight, it seems relatively sturdy (again, considering it's size and weight). Definitely going to be much easier to carry than my Sirui Carbon Fiber unit.

I'll be interested in what your eval is after you've used it a while. It seems to be more versatile than most out there.

Not my first choice under normal circumstances, but really meant for hiking, backpacking, etc.

I'm intrigued by the "second tripod" feature. The whole thing seems well planned and developed. May not be as sturdy when all leg extensions are out, but certainly better than no 'pod and quite versatile as a carry around unit. Good piece of kit overall.

It even has a pull-out iPhone holder! I’ll do a proper review with video eventually.
