The movie: "Grand Prix"

Is on a cable channel ATM.

Not seen it in a looong time, still gets me chills with some of the racing footage. Amazing stuff.

Story line, not so much.

Re: The movie: "Grand Prix"

It's got Jimbo in it.
Good enough for me

Re: The movie: "Grand Prix"

Poked around the tube and saw some bits..then you wander off into the crash vids on the side....it just aint worth it. :eeek:

Re: The movie: "Grand Prix"

Seeing bits with Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Phil Hill, Fangio, Rindt, Brabham, McLaren, is about as neat as it can get.

And the cinematic style is as nostalgia invoking as the Talbot mirrors!!

Re: The movie: "Grand Prix"

It will always be in my top 10 movie list! I walked Monaco a few months after seeing the movie and had major chills while doing so thanks to the scenes in the film. I agree, the story ain't great but as mentioned before seeing the likes of Clark, Hill etc. makes it all worth it.

Re: The movie: "Grand Prix"

Ken Costello, father of the MGB V8, drove one of the BRMs during the filming of Grand Prix.

Re: The movie: "Grand Prix"

Now you gotta watch LeMans just to round out the day...

Re: The movie: "Grand Prix"

"LeMans" and "A Man and a Woman" actually.
