TR2/3/3A The most rare of the TR3 variants

There was a company that modified the TR3 into a coupe. I believe they were in Holland, and the company name begins with an F.

I have seen a drawing of the car on the internet and somewhere I have seen a photo of the remains of one.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I know someone on here has this knowledge at their fingertips...

That would be the Francorchamps coupe, tho I thought they were in Belgium instead of Holland.

I've heard they were very nicely done, but not a huge success. The bodywork added significantly to both price and weight; so they were not competitive against the factory "GT" option package (which qualified the car to race in at least some coupe classes).

martx-5 posted a video yesterday here that includes some footage of a recently and beautifully restored one. The owner said only 22 were ever made, and he knows where the 16 remaining examples are. He's had TWO of them!

It was a nicely done conversion. It was done by the Belgian firm Imperia that had the contract to assemble TR2's for the continent from complete unassembled Triumphs (CKD, completely knocked down, to get around import tax).
When you see the picture note the B pillar position as they moved the door opening all the way to the rear wheel to extend the door. They had roll up windows and a perspex roof insert. The wire wheels were sourced elsewhere and were bolt on with hubcaps. They didn't sell/make many (22) as it was twice the cost of the TR2.
