The long way home.

When our daughter was in middle school we hosted Japanese students 3 consecutive years. It was part of a 4H thing.

Every year we send their families a Christmas card and calendar. They get mailed in early December. Today one came back with "Return to Sender Unknown" on the outside of the envelope.

Where has it been for the last 7 months? Has some Japanese postal worker been wandering around trying to locate the family?

David - send the family another card. Also, you might want to contact the school that originally connected you with the student.

This is actually the second one that came back. Last year I put it down to chance and it came back in a couple of months.

I was just surprised at how long the card floated around in the postal system.

The exchange was organized by 4H and LABO (The Japanese version of 4H)

We will have to check on face-book as I think the student is on there in contact with our daughter.

Perhaps LABO is a terrorist organization that is using 4H to infiltrate the US and look for weaknesses it can exploit. It sounds like what you need is 007.
