Ms. Triss is dozing quietly in the garage, 1027 miles later - not the record by a long shot but for her an outstanding achievement.

Stayed in Grand Haven at a friends last night, quick visit to another MG garage and then back for scotch and stogies on the back porch. This morning we went in his '65 Corvair ( a little more room I might add) to breakfast and then at 11 I hit the road. At about Flint she started stumbling again, but, found a sweet spot at about 68 mph where it mostly evened out. Thought, if I just get to Canada, I'll be fine, got to Canada, thought, I have friends in London, if I just make it to London, I'll be fine. London BTW is 120 miles from home and I have 100 miles free towing with CAA. Got to London, getting gas, attendant says, something is leaking. Yup the header tank let go once and for all. So, what to do, well, I thought every mile gone is another mile closer and if I get into the free towing area so much the better. Left the header tank empty and started off. Got about 8-10 deg. hotter (but cooler still than the trip out - Thanks Jeff!) and settled in, after about 20 miles, realized I had to use the choke to smooth it out, still the 68mph sweet spot, lots of "If I only make it to ______" I'll be OK, next thing you know I'm in the driveway, she can barely idle on her own but she made it under her own steam! Hurray for Ms. Triss. (and thanks to all for the week)

Glad you made it. I had to replace an alternator, and that would have been no big deal, except for the heat/humidity.

BTW, here is a video I posted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyJm-WMZgiM

I am going to edit and post my track tour. I remember following you for awhile ... I still think you were smoking a cigar while driving on the track.
