In preperation for the 2011 calendar celabrating thge 50th anniversary of the Midget we ould like to find the last (highest serial number) known Midget.

Mark Boldry owner of # 101, the first Midget and it will have it featured in the calendar. Here's your opportunity to have your late 1979 Midget included.

Either post your serial # on this thread or e-mail taskadog at yahoo dot com with the information

Phil

I wonder how that works? VB lists 229000 as the last, but what about Canadian 1980 Midgets?

Moss lists 2122526 as the last made.
We are looking for the last survivor.
We have the first made, it would be realy cool to actually have the last made still intact and in the 50th Aniversary calandar, but we'll settle for the highest # survivor

Too be clear, we are looking for the last surviving Midget.
Proceeds from the calendar will be used for the Midget 50 celebration at Elkhart Lake Wisc. June 20-24 2011

kellysguy,
So far the latest is 226462.
I must have read the Moss figures wrong.

We'll keep this open till very near the cut off date for the calenders
Thanks

That's easy to do unless you look closely, the numbers are weird till you notice that they go from G-AN6UL-212001 G to G-AN6-22526; a whole other sequence. They dropped the UL. ( Or Moss has a typo and/or is missing a digit). VB stops earlier, so it seems the "last made" will be the last man standing. I wonder if BL would have kept the last one made? Then again, I would think they would have kept the first.

Moss must have a typo. They list GAN6-22526, obviously missing a didget.
So far I have Rik Hogan's GAN6UL 227448G as the latest surviving.
I just started this thread tonite on the 3 Midget sites I know, so I'm sure we'll find a later example.
From your numbers it appears his is about 1550 cars from the end

It appears that The British Motor Heritage Museum in Gaydon UK does indeed have the last off the line.
I'll try and get a photo for the calendar, but if you have a later # than 227448 post it and we'll se what we come up with

Here's the one you're looking for. Since it's the last one left, none can be older, right? It's even a Mk 1 with roll-up windows, made in Italy! Now, how rare is THAT?!!
