WOW ! who would have thought it what a story.---:encouragement:
 
Interesting find but the BIN asking price is a bit silly. These heads are not that difficult to source and as soon as this one is installed it loses its uniqueness. For the same price you may as well bay a fully fitted out aluminium head.
 
I interpreted the description as it doesn't need that work.

" This is not a used head that needs to be refurbished, welded up, or decked by the machine shop before use."
 
Very interesting story. Will be interesting to see if anyone snaps it up! I would think that most used heads could be reconditioned for much less than this unless they are severely cracked. I have two spares taking up room in my garage. $500 each? Anyone? Anyone?????
 
For Sale.. I have an original 100-6 gallery head.... un-restored...rare...highly desirable.....stored outside my shop for many years. This original cast iron gallery head is well seasoned...which means that the stresses that were induced by the initial casting process have had many years to get relieved as it sat outside and being exposed to the elements for many years. Any takers? Full color photos upon request.
 
Bids topped out at 255$ ....guess that means theres not a whole pile of interest in "the last cast iron head "
