Had to go to Torrance, California yesterday.

Took the 14 to the 5 to the 405.
sucked all the way, but where else on a
sunny day would you be driving in the dead of winter
with the top down wearing a t-shirt?

So on the way back, since the freeway was so straight,

I decided to get off at Soledad Canyon Road and enjoy
a few kinks in the road.

Gosh what fun in the sun!

That paints a disturbing mental image, just so you know.

Cold here, but not much snow. Worst of both worlds. Driving the FJ40 with the heater on.

Next time get off at Newhall Pass and take Bouquet Canyon to Lake Elizabeth, then east. Beautiful, moderately twisty drive.

What better way to travel?
You talking north of I-14, or the one south and to the east, through Acton?

Bouquet Canyon is my back yard.

I know how to take the road all
the way to the
coast without
nary a straight line

Hmmm... well the only way I can think of to get to the coast from Bouquet Canyon without any great lengths of straightaway would be through Three Points, then Frazier Park and Lockwood Valley, south on 33 through Ojai and around Lake Casitas. Otherwise you would have to take the 126 or 118, unless you know some dirt roads that I haven't found yet!

And that is a nice drive!
Went to Ventura on Thursday
to check into come possible
Car B Que donor cars.
Had to take Bouquet to Newhall Ranch Rd.
Then the 126 out to the 118.
There is a guy out there with a yard,
bunch's of Cadillacs, and don't cha know it
bunch's and bunch's of english fords, Anglia's and
Thames, Even has a Gogomobile?
