Thank you Tom. And by the way, for all the vets here, many restaurants and other businesses around the country have specials for Vets on Veteran's Day. For example, last year I got a free Breakfast at Denny's. Applebees is another. Do a Google search for more info on deals in your area.
 
I have a pipe at home that came down through my Father's family. Carved into the side of the bowl is, "11-11-11 82nd Inf Verdun" Apparently an uncle or other relative was there. No records to indicate who though.
 
I feel like only Veterans should have this day off,
as most people don't care about it,other than getting the day off.
