TR2/3/3A The door and B post hardware

The door and B post hardware are still very tight on my car. I am wondering how the new hardware is for that application. I have plenty of original stuff that has wear and I am always worried about buying new, so what others have experienced would be much appreciated.

The part that grabs me the most is where the wood in the door frame meets the B post on pre 60K car because there is just a little bump on the door frame pushed out by the angle of the wood in frame. It looks like I could just tap the B post on the tub and that would solve the problem.

Tap? When it comes to aligning the doors, I have a large rubber flooring hammer that I'm not afraid to let loose with. The door can even be twisted by grabbing the open and and twisting against the hinges. Several times I've had the door fit perfect, only to remove them and resintall and they're out of alignment for no reason!?!

I have also hammered the A post hinge locations and/or bent the brass hinges to get everything into alignment. It amounts to whatever it takes to make it all fit...preferably before the paint goes on. You get more limited after painting.
