Well we went to VT this weekend and picked up a '59 and '60 Bugeye from a gentleman in VT that is selling off a collection of cars and parts - Thanks for the info Mark. Attached is a pick of the cars in the truck and trailer. Too far for two trips, so the parts car went in the bed of the pickup. We got a few strange looks during the ride back, but the best was from two guys in a Z3 that just came back from Autocrossing...Got two thumbs up!

The plan is to put the running gear and from brakes from the '70 Midget parts car in the Maroon car. Time to strip and get the tub ready for the dip tank.

Took a look at the TR2 for Ben (banjo) and he is in for a nice car.

I'll keep eveyone posted with the progess of the rebuild.

Chris

I was hoping to see a Bloodhound and Granny on a rocking chair on the truck! Looks like a fine brace of cars. Good luck with them. Hope that is the last time they have to ride on the back of a truck.

I was looking for Ellie Mae, but to each his own I guess. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Don't worry, that will be the last time they see the bed of the truck.

Has anyone put a roll bar in a bugeye without the rear braces going through the boot sheet metal? I want more than a hoop, but would rather not cut up a straight body panel. I've looked for pictures but haven't had much luck. If anyone has any photos or links I would appreciate it.

Here is one. 1961 been in the family since 1968.
