"The Bucket List"

Re: "The Bucket List"

Well, THAT's certainly disappointing.

Re: "The Bucket List"

Probably why da Missus wants to see it.

Or could it be she has a thing for Jack Nicholson...

Re: "The Bucket List"

I went and saw this yesterday and I did not think it was a chick flick. If it is possible to have a man's chick flick it might qualify as that. I thought it was very thought provoking from a man's perspective and thought it was good. I recommend it.

Re: "The Bucket List"

I watched Death Sentence last night on DVD. Very thought provoking from a man's prospective. Steve_S would love the camera work in the parking structure scene.

Re: "The Bucket List"

I watched Full Metal Jacket last night - very thought provoking from a man's perspective /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Re: "The Bucket List"

Darn!! & I was almost complete convincing Jerri I needed to develop my own bucket list! Seeing it was my plan to finalize her support for mine...

If it is, its one helluva chick flick!

There are times in it when you want to "laugh until you cry" and others that are so deep in meaning that they are poignantly simple. Its interesting how Jack Nicolson's movies have changed over his life.

But I think the best lines in the the movie are the 2 questions the gatekeeper asked ancient Egyptians when they knocked on heaven's gate....

Re: "The Bucket List"

Whoooo Datttt? Come on Tony, give.

Nearly anything that Stanley Kubrick had anything do to do with was thought provoking.

Dave, are you there Dave?

Re: "The Bucket List"

Jack - the 2 questions the guard at the gate of the ancient Egyptian heaven asked before he allowed entry were:

Have you found joy in your life?

Have you brought joy to the lives of other people?

Re: "The Bucket List"

And if you answer correctly you are on your way to Andromeda, which, if you read that other thread, is getting to be a shorter and shorter trip!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I always thought they were "what is your name?", followed by "What is your quest?" and then "What is your favourite colour?".........

Ooops, wrong brand of mythology!

My thoughts, as well.
