Saturday we had a nice buck visit our yard, but I could not find a camera in time to shoot any pictures and my new Canon 7D was wrapped up under the tree. Well, what luck! The buck came back this Christmas morning and my Canon 7D was right there on the kitchen table! Here's an example,

I've posted a few more pictures in our Photo Bug Group here on BCF.

Looks to be an older fella.

Ya know what they call a deer down here that shows up in the same place twice?

Dinner.

Long-legged car killing rodents. Beautiful, though. Nice photo.

Wonder if Santa had an equipment problem?
Wonderful photo opportunity and great pic!

Great shot Bas, I miss living near mule deer.

You can have all of ours, Walter. So far I'm down one Honda Fit (60mph hit, $6k damage) and too many near misses to count.

Took a look at your other shots, Basil. You're putting that new camera to good use.

Thanks - can't wait to learn what I'm actually doing.

Nice! Also confirms where the buck stops around here.
