The Blue British Beater TR3 on "Barn Finds"?

What is that gold colored cylindrical canister on the right side of the engine? I've never seen one of those on a Tr3 before.

A link would be helpful. If it's the car I'm thinking of, it's already been discussed and the strange canister was an aftermarket oil filter.

There's another thread around here with an answer to that question - it is an oil filter.
