OK "beauty" maybe stretching it a bit but I had to share this great shot. We hauled this car home several years ago in a snow storm, named him Crusty the Donor Car and have found many parts still good. The head has never been cut and the surface looks like it is new still - of couse the block is frozen! The chassis was connected front to rear with 2x4s and has since gone into the light.

But the real beauty to me is that it was complete. I bought my project TR4A in pickup truck loads but Crusty has all the parts in the right places, especially when it come to wiring so he has helped me immensely with Cora (named her that because of all the "Cora"gated cardboard boxes she came to me in.

Great picture, Peter! And I love the Flintstone rear axle!

Good job with the names, too.

Is this what happens when the t-=shirt pressing and trailing rust out. I heard the car can split in half, but here is proof. Heartbreaking shot, but its nice to hear that it gave its life for another.

lovely if it was on ebay, it would probably be listed as "slight rust issues, perfect for restoration."

GOod Lord!! may i paste that on the inside of my garage ? just in case the nieghbors start complaining.....then i can show them how bad it could be.

My neighbor asked how long it will be in my back yard (under a blue tarp). I said it can't be moved any more (duh) and once the 4A project is done so I can hook up all the wiring, I'll start cutting it up for the trash man. The following day I switched to a camo tarp and will be putting a small fence so they don't complain. The neighbor noticed and said she saw the camo tarp on the car. I said "What car?" and she laughed so I guess it's OK for a while more. They had a TR3 in their younger years and didn't mind my 2-cycle formula car screaming at 8K rpm so I guess I'm lucky they're cool about things.
