TR2/3/3A The 3 Steering Wheel "Grub Screws" and the Control Head.

When removing the steering wheel I noticed that I had neglected to install the grub screws the last time I had the wheel off! Well I found 2 of the screws in a parts bag of miscellaneous control head pieces. I'm going to fabricate a third screw as I found a non set screw with the correct thread. What I wonder is that with the screw missing would that affect the turn signal cancelling device from returning properly?
Also, what part of the control head do the pointed heads of the grub screws actually push against?
 
The grub screws are #10 x 32 thread. I used recessed allen-head screws that (iirc) were 1/2" long. You might want to run a 10-32 tap through the threads in the steering wheel hub just to clean them up.

The function of the grub screws is to screw in between the lower flat metal disk and the control head itself, and to hold that disk of the control head tightly against the body of the steering wheel hub. Holding the metal disk in place locates the control head assembly securely in place, and prevents it from being pulled out toward the driver.
 
I also used hex head screws. They worked very well, and are readily available at any decent fastener store. Cheers, Mike
