As I was sitting here at my pc reading some the the threads, I got to thinking how much help the British Car Forum has been to me. It has been a godsend, really. I am sure it has been that way for many of the members. So I just wanted to offer my special thanks to Basil for creating this forum. And I want to thank some of the more knowledgeable individuals who have offered great advice. Dave Russell, John Loftus, Keoke, and several more make this forum happen by sharing their knowledge. I know they certainly give more than they get out of the forum. These guys know the answers, but they always seem to be available to share their expertise with the rest of us. I know their love for LBC's motivates them, but they go beyond that. Much of their advice requires significant research, which they willing do. Anyway, thank you guys. Your advice is appreciated.

Hey, I will "ditto" your comments and add more, to boot! I used to sometimes feel like the "Lone Ranger" when tackling a pesky AH 'issue', but since discovering this Forum and the "Healey List" I don't feel that way at all anymore. For example, I have/had a little issue with installing a BJ8 starter of all things on Father's Day and just got really frustrated. Went inside and the wife didn't really want to hear much about it...so I opened the fridge, got a cold one and headed to the computer. Drafted a quick "help" message and before I got the beer down, Dave Russell was online with some good (as always) thoughts and advice! Almost as good as making a phone call to a friend. AND, I might add, I do feel like the Forum members are friends. So, thanks to all you guys that are there - I really don't have the "Lone Ranger" syndrome and don't have to go to therapy sessions anymore! Thanks! Also, I might add that it feels pretty good to be able to occasionally post a comment that I think adds to the conversation and perhaps help someone, too.
 
No good deed goes unpunished. I too wrote a thanks for all the help post here a while ago. So it's nice to see others saying thank you to all the wonderful Healey folks who take the time and research to answer our questions. Shorn, Stever, very well written. And to the guys who consistanly and in a very timely mannor answer our questions, THANK YOU. Roger
 
i'll add my 2¢...

thanks to this forum, owning a healey is only ridiculous – as opposed to completely insane!

I can't say that I 'know all the answers' because I'm learning new stuff here all the time. There really are some great people here and want to join in by thanking Basil for having the brilliant concept to set this up and the skill, motivation and tenacity to keep improving it year after year. He must be building up an enormous cache of LBC Karma (at least a few thousand pints by now) and should be protected from ever being stranded by the side of the road for the rest of his days!
