Well I droped the oil out of the transmission and it was black! Installed a new OD filter screen and a new gasket on the solenoid retaining plate. The old screen was free of any debree. Just a lot of sludge in the bottom. I was amazed how dirty the oil was as I had changed the oil in the tranny just before installing the engine back in the car. I'm glad I dropped the oil.
